G-Power reveals their new Typhoons

For those who like their already vulgar BMW X6M or X5M become even more showy, G-Power has prepared a brand new Typhoon kit!

The Typhoon program contains both visual and mechanical upgrades. Not that these M-powered SUVs are anything weak or slow, but people who want their cars to look so ostentatious, will appreciate more power as well.

As for the exterior, the Typhoon comes with modified bumpers with big air intakes and spoilers at front and diffuser at the rear, new bonnet with vents in it, flared fenders and roof spoiler. The X6M also gets a new wing on its tailgate.

The tuner offers different wheels for the cars. The X5M comes with G-POWER SILVERSTONE EDITION, and the X6M is fitted with three-part G-POWER RS forged wheels. Both sets have a diameter of 23-inch. G-Power recommends 315/25 ZR 23 high performance Michelin tires for best result.

They also fiddle with the 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 engine BMW puts in these high-riding sportscars, so it is now capable of 600hp and 700 nm of torque. With the speed limiter gone the cars can now accelerate to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds and keep going right up to over 300km/h.

RUF unveils electric Porsche Cayenne

RUF is one of the biggest names in Porsche tuning market. They always come up with insanely powerful packages for the German sporscar.

But it seems that they are replacing their love of horsepower with passion for green cars! You might remember the 911 Greenster they unveiled last year, and now they have come up with the first SUV running purely on electric power. It’s called the eRUF Stormster and is based on the Porsche Cayenne.

Powered by Siemens electric motors, the Stormster’s powertrain seem to be quit good as it generates 270 kW (367 bhp). But it has one big flaw, and that is the amount of extra weight it brings along! The eRUF now weighs more than 2670 kg, and as a result of that, it is really slow.

Reaching 100km/h from standing still in this once sport SUV takes 10 seconds and it has a top speed of only 150 km/h. But it can cover 200 Km on a single charge. Although the car is fitted with RUF classic wheels and Hankook tires, you can tell that the handling won’t be just as good as the original due to its hefty weight.

After giving huge amount of power to Ferraris and Porcshes, Wimmer tuners has tried their hand on a smaller car! A Golf GTI VI to be precise.

And what they have in mind for the Golf? Well, it’s obvious: POWER! lots and lots of it. The 211hp engine of the car has gone under a heavy surgery and got 386 hp and 455 nm of torque! For this, Wimmer engineers had to re-tune the car’s ECU and turbochargers, and install a few high-performance parts such as new manifolds, sport exhaust system and new fuel injectors.

Then to make sure the car won’t handle like a clown due to the extra power, they have come up with a H&R adjustable suspension for it, and fitted it with 20-inch Mote wheels for good measure!
