Dodge Challenger ACR – SEMA 2011

This year Dodge themselves, with help from Mopar, will present their own tuned Challenger.

The HEMI-powered car gets coil-over suspension, front-and rear-strut tower braces, short-throw shifter, front splitter, cat-back exhaust, custom exhaust headers and a set of Goodyear F1 Supercar performance tires, all courtesy of Mopar.

The exterior has design cues similar to those found on the Viper SRT10 ACR, including a white body, charcoal painted roof, carbon fiber hood, rear deck lid, rear spoiler and tail lamp surround and an offset flame red stripe that runs the length of the car. Red painted mirror caps and brake calipers, unique black painted five-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels and red “ACR” fender badging.

If only they would upgrade the engine as well…

Hennessey HPE500 Supercharged Ram

Hennessey Performance has proved many times that they don’t mind the type or brand of any car. If it’s got an engine they can make a monster out of it!

Check out their take on the Ram pickup, boosted with the HPE500 package for a total output of 505 hp. That makes it one of the fastest and most powerful trucks in the market, but probably not the prettiest.

To get that power out of the car’s 5.7 liter HEMI V8, Hennessey has bolted a TVS2300 Supercharger on it. That’s the main upgrade, of course they also improve some other components to cope with the extra power but don’t expect it to behave like a normal Ram.

Lingenfelter Supercharges Dodge Challenger

If you have been feeling terrible about yourself because your 2010 Dodge Challenger is not just as powerful as the 2011 model specially the 392 version, worry no more because Lingenfelter has a solution for you.

They’ve come up with a new supercharger kit for the 5.7 and 6.1 liter HEMI V8 Challengers that cranks the power up from 370 to 500 hp and beyond. Those are the tested figures fro the 6.1 liter version.

The new Magnuson TVS 2300 intercooled supercharger kit features 160 degree thermostat, properly sized fuel injectors and a high flow air intake system. It comes as standard with a black casing which looks kinda cheap really. But don’t worry because they do offer a magnificent chrome finishing that enhances your Challenger’s under bonnet looks.

With the new kit the Challenger 6.1 can run the quarter mile in 12.03-seconds at 120 mph.

Dodge Challenger V10 Mopar Drag Pak

Dodge and their in-house tuning division Mopar released a new dragster package for the 2011 Challenger which is awesome!

The Drag Pak features a 512 cid V-10 engine with bucket loads of power, 2-speed automatic transmission with shift assembly and built-in roll control, stripped-out and race-prepd interior, plus special axles and wheels and tires for the task.

A complete challenger with the V10 Drag Pak will be featured at the next SEMA show and then it’ll become available for sale with a price tag of $85,512.

DropTop Customs Dodge Challenger Convertible

DropTop Customs has done a number of convertible muscle cars and they’re all fine, but the most recent one, which is still in the works, is by far the coolest.

It’s based on the Dodge Challenger RT and it’s being made in collaboration with Petty Garage.

The car will get an electric fabric roof but that’s not all. As yo see in the picture there will also be a great body kit as well, and of course some serous enhancements for the engine as well as new set of wheels.

Dodge Journey by Irmscher

Irmscher is best known with their packages for small European hatchbacks, but their recent job is completely different!

They’ve picked a Dodge Journey crossover for their latest project and gave it a new rally look. The car gets a body kit, new wheels, and a black paint job garnished with orange stripes on the bonnet, hatch and each sides.

The interior of the car is also revamped and gets new leather upholstery, sport steering wheel, new instrument panel, aluminum pedals and new floor mats.

The performance however remains the same as standard with a 2.0-liter turbo diesel developing 140 hp.
