Kia Rio Goes Surfing at SEMA

Well, not literally. But Kia and Antenna magazine have teamed up to present this surf-themed Rio at the 2011 SEMA show.

The brown Rio seems to have one of the worst body kits ever fitted on any car ever, with gold wheels which are terrible. But it’s not about the looks, it is about surfin’!

Antenna took the all-new 2012 Rio 5-door and turned it into a surfer’s dream, with a sunset-metallic golden-brown paint, front splitter made of wood to match an old school surfboard and striking gold wheels.

The rear console of the Rio 5-door also has been completely modified to accommodate a retro gaming console that plays 80’s-style arcade games and music, and shelves for sandals and swimsuits.

And they have made it even worse by that stupid paint job and ugly bodykit. The wheels are alright but again on a car such as Pro Ceed, that’s just pathetic.

I know budget tuning is a big trend, but to be honest it’s just not good!

Irmscher Kia Soul Edition 001

German tuner Irsmcher finally revealed their long awaited upgrade program for the 2010 Kia Soul, called the Edition 001.

This styling-only kit is designed to give the Korean urban vehicle a meaner sportier appearance.

So it comes with new add-on parts for the front and rear bumpers like the ones you get on the bigger crossover vehicles. They don’t have any good use, neither they’re very pretty, but there they are!

Other features of the exterior include black 18-inch “Sports Star” design wheels and and lots of “Edition 001” sticker. Upon request they can also re-trim the interior with black and red leather.

Kia Soul tuning by Cobra

Cobra Technology & Lifestyle released their new decorating package for the 2010 Kia Soul, which weirdly includes some body parts you normally see on big SUVs!

Nevertheless, they look pretty cool on the Soul. The main feature you notice is the front Cobra CITYGUARD protector unit made from stainless still which comes in two simple bar or the full version with a tube diameter of 60 millimeters.

The front element is also suitable for installing auxiliary high-beam headlights that are available as a ready-to-install set. They have also used steel bars to create the new side steps.

As as a nice finishing touch Cobra offers 18 and 19-inch wheels for you to choose from. They are available in 8Jx18 with size 225/40 R 18 or 8Jx19 with size 225/35 R 19 for front and back.
