Hamann Volcano Yellow based on McLaren SLR
German tuner Hamann has released yet another version of their Volcano package for the McLaren Mercedes SLR. We’ve seen this car earlier in white and red paint job, but it looks sportier in yellow!
Many people have criticized this car because of its vulgarity. The original SLR has one of the finest designs for a luxury sports coupe, but with this body kit it kinda looks like a toy car. It kinda ruins the car’s charisma.

But even if you don’t like the looks of it, you gotta love what’s under the bonnet! Hamann engineers have deeply modified the SLR’s 5.4 liter V8 engine which develops 612 hp as standard and bumped up the power to 700 hp and 830 nm of torque.
This is achieved through a newly programmed control unit, especially developed high performance exhaust manifolds and an amended belt pulley combination for the serial compressors. They also had to add a new water pump and readjust the car’s electronic gearbox to cope with the extra power.

Volcano delivers amazing performance. It does 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and in a race to top speed it’ll leave both the SLR and SLR 722 in dust since it’s faster than both of them. It beats the SLR by 14 km/h and the 722 by 11 km/h!

The car uses a new exhaust system which has three mufflers on each side, integrated into the fenders and is fitted with Hamann EDITION RACE 21-inch wheels with tires measuring 255/30ZR21 at the front and 345/25ZR21 at the back.
