Nissan Skyline Tuning

An unusual moment of success arrived in Nissan Factory when the Skyline was engineered. Originally designed and manufactured for the purpose to win a Japanese Touring car Championship, Skyline amazed every single individual on the globe. From the core Asian countries to Australia, Skyline made a huge impact wherever it was launched.

In no time, the luck doomed and due to some unavoidable factors, a ban was enforced on its production. Skyline fared really well on country side roads and the racing tracks as well. It was one of the best engineered cars from Nissan that not only brought stability to technology but add huge wings to the powerful engine within.

If you add a new gear shift kit, you’ll have excellent handling backed by a good balance on high speed tracks. It is difficult to find rare body shells when an enthusiast thinks of tuning up the body. Skylines are just the right cars for all the Pro-Street stuff. They are one of the fastest ever cars on the track. Though they can bear the brunt of any climatic condition, but they suffer the problem of frequent breakdown when tested at real high speeds. Hence the first step is focussed towards stabilizing the engine.

The engine is usually configured around a blistering 500 hp. The only way to do it is by boring the 2.8l engine and packing the insides with the same fittings as found in the winning version on the Japanese race track. Exhaust kits have failed miserably in the past so it has to be carefully crafted to pass the test of strictest noise limits on the track. More air-induction can be achieved by introducing wider air bonnet bodies. The engine performance can reach an astounding 585 bhp after a minor change in configuration backed by exhaust kits. Due to such great power, heavy emissions during the internal combustion can do some major damage in the exhaust system.

The Skyline reaches an astounding figure of 5500 rpm from 4000 rpm in no time. The beauty lies in the fact that you can still accelerate at such high speeds. It is hard to imagine 1.5G acceleration. It is simply a rocket on the road. Only Bridgestone RE01Rs tyres are capable to withstand such a majestic speed combo. Bridgestone Potenza RE55S semi slicks backed by double sided round disc brakes add another 3-D experience.

The brakes have to be suitably supported by Sachs 3 adjustable dampers which add up to the high performance of this vehicle.

Sometimes a small component may be of high importance such as a clutch. Steel clutches have failed in the past for Nissan Skyline. The Super Copper mix clutch is an amazing body part which handles the physical power easily and also adds up to the driving pleasure because of its ease of use.

Trendy and fashionable seat covers are hot properties these days. You should go for all black poly-leather seat covers with crushed looks.

The tuned up version of Nissan Skyline is surely a fantasy for most of us but handling configurations and rejuvenating projects is no child’s play. The presence of a professional while tuning up Skyline is of utmost importance.

It is a car which seems to come from heaven to rule the roads on earth in its own class.
